Wildlife & Cultural Safari 11 Days

Drive early morning towards the west from Kampala and have a stopover at the equator for photographs, Proceed to Bwindi via Maramagambo and Ishasha sector following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain .....

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Uganda-martyrs-shrine-City -tourArrive at Entebbe international airport. You will be met by our safari driver/guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Check in and relax at the pool side after a long journey while waiting for dinner. Overnight at Hotel Africana.

Day 2: City Tour

Have breakfast in the morning and get ready for the city tour and visit the prominent places in Kampala like Namugongo martyrs shrine, Bahai temple, Uganda Museum, Gorilla Tracking -Rwanda, Kasubi Royal tombs, Namirembe and Rubaga cathedrals, Kabaka’s lake, shopping arcades in town and craft shops including National theatre. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Africana.

Day 3: To Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Drive early morning towards the west from Kampala and have a stopover at the equator for photographs, Proceed to Bwindi via Maramagambo and Ishasha sector following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. As you drive along the road via Ishasha sector, animals such as the waterbucks, elephants, antelopes, buffalo, kobs, may be seen along the road. Dinner and over night at the luxurious Gorilla Resort Camp/Lake Kitandara Camp/Basic Buhoma community bandas.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi

Have an early morning entry into a gorilla sanctuary. The rainforest is spectacular as itgorilla-tracking offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken is determined by the movements of these marvelous primates and weather conditions. Gorilla tracking can take 1-6 hours but normally lasts longer The thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. Dinner and over night at the Camp.

Day 5: Forest Walk

Following breakfast, you will go for a forest walk and pass through this spectacular rainforest, heavily forested and crisscrossed by numerous animal trails. You will be able to see various primate species and mammals and you might get a chance to see animals that you missed seeing the day before. Recorded mammals here include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. You will have lunch and relax for the evening. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

Day 6: to Rwanda.

Rwanda Following breakfast, you will drive to Kisoro and cross the Rwandan Border to Ruhengeri reaching Rwanda in the evening. Dinner and over night at Kinigi guest House.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking In Pac Nationale De Volcanoes.

You will wake up early and have a briefing by the guide at Ruhengeri Park headquarters in Pac de volcanoes. The tracking begins at 9:00am.The time spent trekking depends on the movement of these wonderful giants and the weather conditions. Return and have lunch then relax or walk around the park and see the beautiful surrounding and environment. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi guest House.
Day 8: Kigali City Tour.

Wake up for breakfast in the morning then drive to Kigali for a city tour and have a look at the prominent sites in Kigali. Visit the Murambi genocide memorial, the national cultural museum and the royal palace of the Mwami in Nyanza.

Day 9: To Lake Mburo In Uganda

Following an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park and enter the Park through the Nshara Gate. Have an afternoon boat trip on Lake Mburo to view vast birdlife like the Papyrus Gonolek, Brown-faced Lapwings, Caruthers’s Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Chances are high that you will also encounter large pods of hippo and view some of the park wildlife like eland, topi, and impala taking a drink from the lake. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp.
Day 10: To Kampala

Following breakfast, you will head to Kampala and arrive early enough for your lunch, then drive back to Kampala. You will have stops at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs and then arrive in Kampala in the evening. Overnight at hotel Africana.

Day 11: Departure

After breakfast, relax at your hotel while you wait for your transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home.
