This 13 days combined safari to Uganda and Rwanda takes you through Uganda’s top national parks tracking down Lions, Track chimpanzees and Bird watching in Bigodi swamp- Gorilla tracking tour in Bwindi forest. Transfer to Rwanda for more gorilla trekking and then Uganda Rwanda safari ends with a tour of Kigali to the Genocide memorial sites

Day 1:  Transfer to Murchison Falls

After breakfast at your Hotel, leave Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park. Stop over for lunch at Masindi Hotel. On reaching the park in the afternoon you will take a nature walk to the top of the falls you will see where the Nile perfects its beauty. You will see how the calm Nile transforms into a thunderous roar of white water falling deep down about 45m. After, transfer to the Lodge. Overnight at Red chili Camp / Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River Lodge / Nile Safari Camp

Day 2:  Game Drive and Launch Cruise

Before the sun rises, wake up and have an early morning breakfast to go for a game drive in search for predators and early risers. You may see game like hyenas, giraffes, Lions, birds, Hartebeests, buffalos, elephants, primates and others.  After the game drive return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on the great Victoria Nile to the Bottom of the falls. The boat ride will reward you with water game like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of birds dashing and walking along the banks. Overnight at Red Chili Camp / Paraa Safari Lodge / Sambiya River Lodge / Nile Safari Camp

Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal                                                                              

Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Fort Portal town, through the villages and beautiful scenery.  Have lunch en route and you arrive late afternoon. In the evening you will have local guides for walks around the 1000 acre farm, to the Mahoma Water fall, and the Walks will take you around crater rims, alcohol brewing in oil drums, banana plantations, and coffee terraces, plots of cassava, groundnuts, sorghum and millet. Overnight at the choice of your Hotel

Day 4: Visit the Pygmies

Leave the hotel after breakfast for the crown and hot springs.  The drive is a 2-4 hours. Visit the pygmies in the pygmy villages located near the Ituri rainforest. This visit to the villages proves to be an appealing cultural experience.  You take a tour to the Hot Springs from where you will visit the Pygmies. Have a Picnic lunch while you experience the True Africa. Transfer back to Fort portal town. Overnight at your hotel

Day 5: Chimp Tracking in Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp

Have breakfast in the morning and set out for Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest National Park. During the trekking you will be able to see other primates like phoestes, Red-Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabey, bird species like butterflies and many small insects. After this wonderful experience, returns to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a swamp walk in the bigodi area. Look out for different bird species. Overnight at Primate Lodge / Chimp Guest House / Kibale Forest Lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have a morning breakfast and depart for Queen Elizabeth national park via Kasese as you enjoy the drive. You may have a chance to view different fauna and flora, Rwenzori Mountain can also be seen at a glance along the way including the tea estates, overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana safari Lodge

Day 7: Game Drive and Launch Cruise

After a cup of coffee, Embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see Lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopards, hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots many small animals and birds. After lunch, enjoy the evening 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge / Jacana safari Lodge

Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking, Game Drive

After Early morning breakfast, depart for an early morning chimp tracking in the Kyambura gorge. You are likely to see a lot of chimpanzees and other primates. return to the lodge for lunch and  after go for an evening game drive in the Kasenyi area which is well known as the Kob mating grounds and therefore in this place one is able to see a lot of kobs and other antelopes like the situnga, and the hyenas. Other animals can also be spotted such as the Elephants, lions, and many more. This takes 2-3 hour. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Simba Safari Lodge

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest pass through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth called Ishasha famous for tree-climbing lions. Have a game drive thereafter. Proceed to Bwindi dinner and overnight at Kitandara/Gorilla Forest Camp/Gorilla resort/Buhoma community Bandas.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking

Have breakfast in the morning plus a short briefing from the guides depart for the gorilla tracking experience which is for a lifetime. As you enjoy both an amazing and exciting experience to you may sport other interesting bird species as well as other nocturnal primates like the bush buck and Gallegos. Overnight at Kitandara / Gorilla Forest Camp / Gorilla Resort

Day 11: Transfer to Rwanda

Depart for Rwanda, border crossing. You will stop over for a lunch break, and you will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon. Your guide will brief you about the gorilla trek for the next day. Overnight at Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge / Kinigi Guest House

Day 12: Gorilla Trek

Have an early breakfast after which proceed to the park offices for a briefing, then continue on for the Gorilla tracking. You are advised to bring hiking shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirts for the trek. A packed lunch and water is provided by the lodge, after the trek you will go for Hikes at the Dianne Fossey graves. Then return for dinner and over night at the lodge

Day 13: Kigali Genocide Memorial Site – Departure

After breakfast, you will go for Golden Monkey tracking then after have lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Kigali for a tour around the Genocide memorial sites and the Markets around.  Overnight stay at the Hotel of your choice in Kigali
